Help Limit Phone Button To My Contacts

Is there any way to limit the Phone Button view to what's listed in People? Are there any third party apps to replace this behavior that don't require root? I have all 150 of my coworkers' contact info in Gmail but I don't need 24/7 access to their phone numbers from my phone. I've set the groups in People so that only the people I regularly call up are in there. It seems very strange that the Phone button wouldn't show the same list that People does.
 
I guess I was just looking for the right phrasing... suggestions for an alternative dialer I can use. I managed to find a couple so far but I'd still appreciate recommendations. :)
 
Of the three I found, AContact seems to be the best so far as it gives me the most control over who I see when poring through my contacts.
 
You can add folks in your contacts to the Favorites Group. Then when you two the native dialer your Favorites will appear first.
 
Ah, thanks! I did not know that. Now if only the Call History wouldn't show the last 50 calls before them... I keep having to clear that out now and then otherwise.
