I have a LG Esteem and a 32GB Class 10 MicroSD card, and I've been having problem getting Android and Link2SD to correctly recognize the partitions on my external MicroSD card. I've tried posting a similar question in the LG Esteem forum, but no one there seemed to be able to help. That's why I am posting my question here.
I used partition managers (EASEUS and MiniTool) to create two primary primary partitions on the MicroSD card. Each partition uses FAT32 and has 14.62GB.
When I inserted the MicroSD card into my phone, Android was unable to detect the first primary partition. Android used the second primary partition as external storage ("/sdcard/_ExternalSD"), and created folders (i.e, LOST.DIR, .android_secure, DATA and DCIM) in the second primary parititon.
Then, I launched Link2SD. Link2SD also used the second primary partition as extended memory for linking/moving apps. So everything - both external SD and extended memory - now reside in the second partitions. The second partition is now filled with both external storage folders and linked/moved apps. I've tried a few things with EASEUS and MiniTool, but Android has been unable to see or use the first partition. The first partition remains empty.
Does anyone know how to get Android or my phone to recognize and use the first primary partition as external SD?
