Linking contacts to facebook accts

There are similar threads but not addressing this issue:

When linking accounts manually, why can I not choose my own facebook friends to link a contact to? I am only allowed to choose "suggested" friends from facebook. How can I choose whomever I want? Some contacts don't have the same facebook name.

Hello and welcome aboard. I would guess its because of how it was implemented. What you can do is to check inside your device's support forum for some assistance.

Just choose your device model from the list here where you can interact with the other users -- who will give you help to get the best out of your device.

Does it not give you the option to "get more friends"? My phone has that option along with the suggested contacts.

Nope it is completely useless. I can choose from suggested friends, and then I can choose further from my phone contacts, as in numbers, not facebook or anything else.
