Help Linking contacts

Hi all I'm trying to link contacts that I already have in my phone to the ones Facebook put in my contacts. II figured the link contacts button would do it but nothing happens I tried manually editing the Facebook contacts to add a phone number but it won't let me. IIs there any way to merge the two so their picture shows up when I call or text?

Tried tge sane way of linking contacts on my buddies s4 and it works any one else had issues on s5?

Open Facebook apps and open the left side and scroll down to apps settings. In apps settings scroll all the way down to make sure sync is set to contacts only or all.

A fix I found was an app called sync me it let's me either automatically or manually attach a Facebook profile. can sync it to update the photo whenever it changes.
