Help links2sd - partioning

aimx2e

Lurker
I rooted my samsung admire... now I want to download links2sd but it says something about "partioning" my SD card.

a) I have no idea what that means...
b) I only have a 2GB SD card with 1GB remaining. Is that enough room?
c) Will this allow me to move ANY app over to my SD card (with the exception of system files)?

Please help! :)

I explain partitions and partitioning in a post around here somewhere....
Lemme see if I can link you somehow.

Check the thread called "now what?!" (can't link from app) for some info on partitioning

Checking on link 2 SD now

From the description it looks like a maybe.
You can also try the force move option and avoid the partition

You could also install clockworkmod recovery by following the guide on this thread
http://androidforums.com/admire-all...-recovery-not-compatible-rom-manager-yet.html

And from there boot into recovery and go to the advanced menu and the partition sd card option will walk you through the process. It also gives you the option to create a swap partiton.

Yeah. I explain that in the post I mentioned...

F this, making a freaking guide for this phone when I get my PC back up.

@TokenPoke... I couldn't find the post you were talking about.. :-\ but link2sd let me move some of the apps I originally couldn't, even without partitioning the SD card, so I just left it alone.

PS A guide to the phone would be very helpful :P you seem to know everything, you're all over the forums

I'm not tech savvy at all, I was pretty proud of myself just for rooting the phone lol

The thread is called "now what"...
It may be easiest to find by looking at my profile (click my name or picture) and looking through my user posts.
