Help Lip Sync Issue

ziggyball

Newbie
I am the proud owner of a galaxy s2 and very nice it is too.

The one problem (so far) I have is that the audio/lip-sync is off during video playback.

I can see this seems to have been an occasional issue with the original and that a factory reset might fix it. I have tried this on my s2 and it hasn't fixed it.

Can anyone else reproduce this? It occurs on flash (iplayer etc) and mkv's from the sd-card)

I would assume you got the non Tegra version of the phone. The Tegra one is said however to not be able to handle the H.264 codec (well, if at all), and .MKVs are usually encoded with H.264.
Not getting proper playing through an application is understandable, perhaps if you shift it to the on-board memory it may work better.

VLC media player is headed to Android in the coming months, that should be mostly faultless and be able to play everything.

Hi Gearu!
It's the 1.2GHz version (which I assume is exynos)
Moving the files to the on-board memory didn't effect things.
It seems the problem is most clearly demonstrated with h264 streams in mp4 or avi containers.
Things are okay with h264 in mkv (xvid in mp4 also seems okay).
