Root Liquid ICS Issue: Please Help!

Just rooted for the first time yesterday, and after using Titanium Pro to backup everything, I flashed Liquid ICS v1.5 MR2 Kernel version 2.6.35.14 -LiquidKernel-v.1.0.5+, Android version 4.0.4

I got my text messages back amongst other settings and all my apps, but no contacts which was obviously one of the most crucial. Within the backups, that was not listed, and "People" which was part of HTC sense is there but won't translate over.

Is there a way to get the recovered contacts from that Verizon backup that was always running (Backup Assistant)? That sounds like a last resort but I can't seem to find anything usable in the backups that Titanium made and I backed up everything except a few pieces of bloatware (i.e. Kindle, Rhapsody)

I imagined Titanium Pro to include a cleaner looking list of settings to restore along with apps so I can repeatedly flash new roms. What am I missing here?

first of all,you should never restore anything with titanium other than apps+app data. restoring anything else will cause all sorts of issues with the drastically different frameworks between htc gingerpread and AOSP ics.

the best way to restore contacts is to make them all google contacts, then sync then. when you boot the new rom, signing into google will bring them all back.

you can restore the backup, then convert them all to google, rather than phone contacts.

if they are all backup assistant contacts, there is a way you can import then to google, but it escapes me at the moment. try googling something like "import backup assistant contacts to gmail"

after you get that worked out,i would prolly sugest a full wipe and reinstall of your rom, this time not restoring anything other than user apps. there are apps in the market you can try if you abslutely need to take your sms threads and call logs with you.

I believe the Verizon backup saves a file to your SD card, or at least gives you an option to. You can then go to Google.com/contacts and import the file. I suggest transferring the file to your computer first if you went this route.

Edit: nevermind, if you used the import/export then exported to sdcard instead of Google it saves a file, I'm not sure about backup assistant since I don't have it on my Rom.

Advice taken- got my contacts imported to google so I don't have to deal with Verizon anything.

Liquid ICS is great but now trying to figure out the whole radio thing. On the site where the ROM is available, there is a radio to download underneath the main file. Can you use ROM manager to install from the SD card just like a ROM?
