Hi. I have some problems from time to time with my samsung and would like to use this oppurtunity to help my mom with her cell phone also.
Right now I've downloaded ring tones for me and my mom and can't get them out of texts to ringtones. Very frustrating. Hope you can help.

Which Samsung device do you have?

If you want the downloaded songs to work, you need to create a folder on your SD Card called "Ringtones" (minus the quotes) and place them in there. If you want to use then as tones for SMS Alerts etc, you'll need to create a folder on your SD Card called "Notifications" (again minus the quotes) and place the tunes in there.

You can create the folders using a File Manager such as Astro or ES File Explorer. Alternatively, it would probably be easier connecting the phone to your PC as a USB Drive and doing it that way.
