Help List of things that need dev work

Network timeout. Feels like a hipri or modem sleep / resource conservation issue.
I added new APN that disappeared, likely repeat of the System read only issue.

Icons are just too huge...bigger than on that Jitterbug senior phone.

The tap 2-3 times to magnify causes problems when you tap like that on the keyboard.

Battery saver shortcut @ pull down settings needed.

Ditto for various Dolby. That whole thing needs reworking, too clunky. I'm grateful for having it though.

Unable to access System UI Tuner with long press of setup gear icon. Is there a way to access/activate System UI Tuner?

If I remember correctly the only thing that the system UI tuner had that was really of any value was the ability to customize the quick settings panel which ZTE has already implemented in a different way. To answer your question though, I highly doubt that the system UI tuner will be accessible in any way.

I was hoping to remove the scrolling "MetroPCS" text from the top left corner of the bar. It looks ridiculous because it sits there saying "MetroP" most of the time, then occasionally scrolls. There is no need for it to take up room on the bar.

Also System UI allowed lots of bar tweeks that were interesting.

The scrolling MetroPOS has to go. So does the percentage text that sits NEXT to the battery. Why? Why have it taking up extra space up there when there's a quick toggle to have the text reside directly ON the battery itself?! The fact that I can't toggle it off, because it's hidden in a secret menu I CAN'T ACCESS, is driving me nuts. I didn't think I would need root, but now I want it just so I can control my bar.

Yes the scrolling metrop sucks. Truly pointless. Plus sometimes out of the corner of my eye I mistake it for a notification.

I agree that everything is too exaggerated in size. I got this big phone to fit more on the screen. Not because I'm 85 years old and can't see (which is the reason I noticed older folks like big phones) but I wan to fit more on the screen. Not just the launcher. But everywhere.

Smart Lock crashes upon trying to add additional Trusted Locations, and the default Home is Greyed out.

Cannot add multiple Users to phone.

My apps won't update or download, I keep getting error code 491. Ive cleared cache and deleted and reinstalled Google play service but it keeps throwing me the error code

Did you do this for BOTH Google Play Services and the Playstore?
Try removing and readding your Google account.
Also, quickly toggle airplane mode off/on.

Yup. It looks like you're right. You need to clear data and cache for both Google play devices and the play store.

Did you reboot after you cleared the data and cache?
Yes I rebooted after clearing data and cache. I also tried deleting the Google account and reinstalling it and toggled the airplane mode but still no joy. I read that marshmallow is quite finicky about apps so I might reset and try again and see if a particular app is causing it. Thanks again for your help.

You could scroll through Sync settings for your Account, how is Gmail doing?
Then Settings / Apps - click 3 dots to Show System, then scroll through App permissions / links / modify system / draw over xxx

Go to your Google play store thru browser https://play.google.com/store
and play with account, devices, settings, auto update, etc.

You can change it with the inoty notify OS 9 app in play store

- The two taps it takes to exit out of pull-down eliminated.
- Add a universal No peek and/or time edit setting and/or Placement edit setting (presently apps throw you a long lasting notification that covers browser / app top area). This may require a whole App.
- caller ID button throws network error(Ditto trying to add a second Trusted Place to Smart Lock).
- Lock screen interferes with calls, alarms, microphone, sound in general.
- calling needs dedicated volume settings.
- fingerprint to answer call / open camera is buggy.
- extended network settings / tweaks... not just for improvement, but to resolve present issues.
- Ditto for Doze, Sleep, Lock.
- multi window.
- sd fix... forget this adoptive storage bs + incomplete app2sd(the few apps allowed, cannot also use external for data/downloads).
- background multimedia app ability.

Man I cannot wait to change the DPI to a decent 320 without having it go crazy on my lockscreen. The DPI is always so huge on alot of Metro phones. and while a launcher fixes the icon, it doesn't fix the ginormous status bar

the touch responsiveness is a lil bad. I cannot play pokemon Go without having to do "test catches" to see how I have to position my finger. I'm sure it's not a hardware thing

& last, that Dolby. I hate the Dolby feature because you KNOW once u see it on a metro phone the sound is top tier... you just have to wait to put a real EQ on there.... like Viper

I've been noticing more and more that sometimes I will get a call from a person that is programmed in my contacts and only the number will show up. This is kind of annoying because I'll end up ignoring calls because I don't recognize the number when the number is actually programmed in my contacts list. Also, my fingerprint scanner quit working a few days ago and I really don't feel like erasing my data so now I'm not using any security since I hate having to enter a password every time I unlock my phone.

Edit: The fingerprint scanner itself still works because if I go into the security settings it will recognize my fingerprint. The problem is that it doesn't recognize it when I try to unlock the phone.
