Hey guys i am in desprate need of a new phone, its either galaxy s or htc desire. I want the desire but i also love the galaxy! i would much prefer the htc but i have to wait an extra THIRTY days to switch my carriers. But if i get the galaxy i can have it like today! is it worth the wait? i want your opinion on what is a better choice ! thanks guys:)

different phones, different features, different users, different answers.....which phone better suits your needs?

personally, I'd take the galaxy in a heartbeart

well, i wanted the galaxy due to its amazing screen but everyone tells me that samsung is s*it and it only looks good on paper and htc is way better with its camera plus flash, also the desire feels better made where the galaxy feels cheeply made. over all the samsung is still a georgeous phone and i guess i cant go wrong with either! just want everyones opinion on what they like most:)

As for the hardware, go here to see the hardware differences.

As for the phone itself, I love mine. I watched a 1hour 45min movie on it and the battery only went down to 89%. The screen is super and the features are great.

I have taken pictures indoors and they came out fine, no flash needed. It's a hell of a lot better than my iGroan.

I haven't rooted the phone or made any system changes at all, I will wait for Froyo to come out.

Look around the net and see what people are saying about their phones. Here are a couple of links...

So, here’s a video of the Galaxy S screen making the screen on the HTC Desire look bad at multi-touch…

Frandroid have run a test of the Samsung Galaxy S screen’s touchability versus the HTC Desire, which is mostly identical to the Nexus One. The Desire screen seems rather easy to get confused in multi-touch – just follow the circles, which mark where the phone thinks the user’s fingers are.

It looks like the screen on the Samsung I9000 Galaxy S is more sensitive (the circles don’t snap together) and more responsive too. Frandroid claim 7 milliseconds response time, which is a couple of times faster than the competition.

Be sure to spend some time handling them both in the store prior to truly deciding.

I went into the Verizon store a few weeks ago to pick up my new Droid X.

Then I played with the Fascinate and changed my mind. ;)

Some go in for a Fascinate and come out with an X, I know. :D
