I actually haven't seen anyone post anything on this (at least that I could find), but I notice a lot of people are stating they are having SIM card problems. I had a issue as well and I figured that maybe something was stuck on the back of the SIM card keeping it from connecting properly. Then, I remembered my days of the good old Nintendo64 and Super Nintendo and that sometimes if your fingers make contact with the gold connectors they can Oxidize. When that begins to happen, the connection gets hardcore screwed. The solution? A TINY bit of rubbing alcohol on a cotton swab. Obviously take the Sim card out of your phone and let the alcohol dissipate before you put it back in and don't touch the connectors when putting the card back in.
May or may not fix your data issues... could be a far more serious problem, but this could usually be the case. Worked well for me haha.
