Google has just published an Android App to the Play Store called "Live Channels for Android TV":

I have a Nexus Player but am unable to install it to any devices. Based on screenshots... it seems this update might be the cord cutter's dream and the type of thing that can become TV's first big breakthrough in forever. Think what iTunes for Music.
But yeah... I can't download the darn thing.
