LiveHome has been re-designed to provide the best functions of ADW, plus the fifteen-button dockbar of LauncherPro, minus all the nonsense of LauncherPro and the fee which is charged for the privelege of more nonsense. I don't want LauncherPro icons is my dockbar when I just as easily create better ones with Tasker. What I want are tweakable swipe functions, smooth screen transitions, no fight when I move my icons around, and a long-press menu which makes renaming, change of icon, removal, or even the uninstallation of an app easy instead of wasteful. I like being able to move shortcuts between one of my screens and my dockbar just by pushing them there, and vice-versa. I like a homescreen app which places a new shortcut exactly where I pressed the screen, not wherever it wants to! LauncherPro dropped all custom of the long-press menu of functions for screen items in favor of a useless widget resizer, and then it charges the user specifically for the privilege of finding out how useless this is! Go ahead, pay your $3.99 and find out if it's worth that - it only increased the buffer around my widgets, (commercial as well as Tasker), while doing nothing with the image. Most important is that a homescreen app should work, all the time, instead of waste your time with the need to reboot it after it drops your photo background, the text under your icons, and sometimes part of the icons! LiveHome is free, it works, it's more powerful than both LauncherPro and ADW combined, and you only see ads while navigating the LiveHome settings menu.
Of noteable interest is how some great products remain underrated or little-known, while ADW and LauncherPro (free or not) are being promoted by the corporate juggernauts which own them. Their shills are everywhere, and no less in this forum!
