Live Profile notification on homescreen

Using LiveProfile, which works great for buddies that have Iphones or Crapberry. However, while I get audio tones with each new msg, I am not getting a star or anything beside the Live Profile icon, showing me I have a new msg.

Is this just something that is not available or what am I missing?

Do you get a notification in the notification bar? The icon on the homescreen is just a shortcut. Some launchers have notifications that overlay icons. ADW EX is one of them but you'd have to check to see if it worked with Live Profile.

yeah I get the notification in the bar up top but thats it. Checked Settings in Live Profile and the only thing is notifications in status bar but nothing else.

Notifications on top of the icons, which is what I think you want, aren't natively supported by launchers (I would assume you have the stock one on your phone), you'd need to check some apps for that, as the aformentioned ADW notifications or GO notifications. I know for a fact that GO does not support Liveprofile, since the only "external" app it supports its K9.
