Live wallpapers won't work

[kasmith0601]

I have downloaded several from the Google play store, and when I touch 'set wallpaper' nothing happens. I'm currently using  Next launcher.

Greetings! Welcome to the Android Forums!!

Are you using the device's settings menu to set the wallpaper, or Next Launchers settings to set the wallpaper?
Are the wallpapers compatible with your device? (I'm assuming so )

Have you tried to reboot and then try again?

Edit: are you on Android Version 7? (Nougat)

Ah, ok, I just edited my last post with another question, sorry, but is your device on Android Version 7? (Nougat)

Doing some digging around, seems like the issue you are having is due to the update to Nougat: (if that is what you are on )

According to those articles, you may have to download this app for it to work:

or, another option listed here:

(the apk listed in the first post)
