Now that I've got a phone that can handle live wallpapers, what are some good ones you guys can recommend free or paid?

I noticed that some live wallpapers still slow down the home screen noticeably. Right now I'm using the stock phases beam one. I found a "Nexus revamped" wallpaper that claims to be more efficient (it is) than stock and is customizable.

Theres a lot of really cool ones. Just search live wall papers in the market and download any of the free ones you think you might like.

Give it a try and if you like it then you can purchase it to unlock all the features. Blue Skies looks really nice. Right now I'm using the snowfall one, with christmas lights and santa sightings.

The Galaxy one that comes with my Skyrocket is nice.

I have to say I'm a bit upset with the live wallpapers, I even tried a stock one and it lags the phone pretty badly. Not sure what the deal is, but I can not use a live wallpaper at this time.

The included "Phase Beam" live wallpaper doesn't lag a bit for me (and I'm pretty sensitive to lag). This wallpaper is perfect to me... just enough movement to make things feel somewhat alive, but not distracting or so busy to lag down the interface. Very smooth.

I am having the exact same experience as you are.

Yeah, I downloaded the aquarium one from the market and had to change it immediately - way too laggy for me. "Phase Beam" is fine though - I notice no lag with it.

I also got the cloud one during the 10 cent sale, and it lags pretty bad as well

Yeah I just used that one and no issues. Every aftermarket one I tried and two of the other stock ones (Microbes and Nexus) I can feel the lag when switching panels. I don't know why these are issues, but i figure all the stock live wallpapers should be perfectly fine.

My favorite is the "Beautiful Widgets" "Beautiful Live Weather" wallpaper. The Deep blues during the day and purple/pink/orange gradient of the sunset make the screen just pop. I haven't noticed it slowing anything down, and I was using the stock Microbes one (because the black background would help with battery life) and didn't notice any lag from that one either...
