This is my first Android app! :D All proceeds from this app will be donated to cancer patients in need. I hope you try it and like it. If you do like it, please rate it high, comment and recommend to others. Thank you!!!

I dedicate this app to my husband Blake and to all others out there fighting cancer.

Live Weather Wallpaper for Android is a live wallpaper that will display your current weather conditions via high-res wallpaper images. Once you set the location in the settings, the app will download the current weather information via the Google Weather service. Our app is only as accurate as the Google Weather service is, so with that in mind we recommend setting your location using zip codes. International users should note that locations outside of the United States are limited by the Google Weather service. Should the weather service report a weather condition that we do not have an image for, a notification will display in the status bar letting you know and giving you the option of reporting it to us so we can update as soon as possible. To save valuable space and resources on your device, we use high-res static (non-animated) wallpaper images stored remotely and the app will only store a single image on your device at any one time.

You will also find a few options in the settings to enhance your experience. There are several refresh intervals to choose from: 30 minutes, 1 hour or 12 hours. Would you like a quick way to view the current weather information? We've got a setting for that as well. Simply enable the touch display options If you enabled the touch setting, then by doing a quick double tap on the device screen, a quick popup will show you the current weather condition and temperature. Why isn't there an option for using GPS to set your location? We opted to not enable this feature in order to cut back on battery use and device resources. Had we enabled this, then the more your location changes, the more device resources and battery usage would be used during the more frequent updating.

Nice one! Can't download it right now as I'm on work.. but is the grass moving like the standard live wallpaper? And are the clouds moving and stuff? :) How many different behaviors does your live wallpaper know?

Well, if you check out my description again you'll notice that I mention the images are static. Meaning they don't move. I did this for a reason...speed. When you have an animated live wallpaper with a lot going on it slows your phone down and takes up space. Animated live wallpapers are nice, but IMHO, who really spends all that much time looking at them. So by using static images that are stored remotely, the app uses very little system resources and takes up little space.

The "live wallpaper" aspect of this is that not only do the image update and change, but when you do a double tap on the screen you get that lil brief popup that tells you the current weather condition and temperature.

We have some nice new features/updates coming here soon, so stay tuned.

If anyone reading this has downloaded this app, please take a moment to give it five stars and a nice comment. The better the app does, the more people we can help. Its only been out for almost two months and with last month's payout, the proceeds paid for someone's chemo medication. I'd like to keep that trend going.

I just download and pay for this app, i really like the idea, and the donation is superb. My unique complain is that my city is not recognice by the app. I live in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, and almost every other weather app bring support for my location. Your app keep telling me, location not found. Could i do something to fix this? because i really like the app.

I just put in "Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic" and "Zona Universitaria, Santo Domingo" and it works for me on both. Try one of those exactly as I put it in but without the quotes. It should work. I've noticed that with Google Weather you sometimes have to enter in the location in an exact way for them to recognize an international location.
