Help Location of current Wallpaper

Lurker
I have the Backdrop app that lets you set wallpapers from the IFL website. I have e-mailed the developer but have not received a response. It seems you cannot download the wallpaper to your SD card for re-use at a later date (this was my feature request) so I'm thinking... if I could copy it to my SD card from wherever it is located then It would serve the same purpose. Problem is, I've been searching using Astro file manager and cannot find it.

Does anyone know where Android stores the current wallpaper in use? These are not live wallpapers BTW.

Thanks,
Vlip

It is much easier to use the app because it automatically displays only those wallpapers in the correct aspect ratio but -- that is a good workaround I suppose.

I would think the current wallpaper is going to be stored somewhere in the root of the phone and unless you are rooted and have something like root explorer you will be unable to find it.
