Lock Icon Position?

In my enthusiasm I've found myself dragging icons around, sometimes to an adjacent page, and have inadvertently deleted a few. Is there any way to lock the screen when I have it the way I want it?

I have a Moto Droid

Any searches on the pertinent terms seem to find only info on the lock screen.

Unfortunately there is no way, that I know of nor heard of, that will let you lock the screen to stop from randomly dragging icons, and accidentally deleting them.

I know how you feel. I've got the same problem.
 
what phones do you guys have? i have no such problem with the nexus one. My dad on the other hand does with the Samsung Behold II

I rhave a Droid although I really don't think it's phone specific. More a function of lag when the phone is busy in the background and fingers in a hurry. For me, it's not even a daily occurance, just often enough to be irritating.
 
Not sure your phones, but on the HTC Desire, set up the icons the way you want then go to Settings>Personalize>Scenes and save your custom scene. If you change things, you'll be able to reload your saved icon setup "scene".
