Lock screen accessible apps?

Now that I have ICS, I'd love to be able to customize which apps I can use from the lock screen. This is a big deal to me, since I hate using a lock screen because of when I'm driving. I'd love Pandora as a choice. I did disable Text Messaging so I can use Go SMS Pro instead, but what If I want something instead of Camera or Phone?

Any way outside of rooting?

I have the same question, I want to put things like gmail on the unlock screen instead of camera.. is there any way to go about doing this?

i dont think this is really possible, but i wanna subscribe to this thread in the likely event that someone figures it out :)

Sorry for the copy past from another thread. I just typed this somewhere else and saw your message. Hope this helps!

To replace the stock texting app
in the lock screen
with a secondary app that has been installed:
Tap Menu,
Tap System Settings
Scroll down to "Apps"
At the top, swipe right to show "All"
Scroll down to find Text Messaging
Tap on it
Tap Disable!

Now, when you go to the lock screen, your secondary app will show in its place!

Once it's disabled, don't freak out if you can't find it. It's at the very bottom of the "All" apps list!

..edit..
I just tried it out. Seems that you can't receive MMS when the stock text app is disabled. If that's the case... hopefully someone can figure a workaround!

Also, it looks like you can't download MMS while on Wi-Fi.

Can you replace anything other than the stock "Txt" app?

I'm not sure. I'm guessing it has to be of the same classification of app.. like "mail" "texting" and so on. I've only gotten brave with the texting app.
