Lock Screen Date Galaxy S4 Question

I know this subject has been broached many times online and on the Android forum however, I still cannot find an answer.

Maybe at 46 I'm just getting old but why is the date on the lock screen the size of an ant's leg? I tried switching to Dashclock with the same result, is there any way to make the date and clock larger and/ or move it on the S4 Active? Thank you!

The clock is much bigger and you'll get really awesome backgrounds to pick from.

Well you can use an alternative lockscreen app like Widgetlocker and put a huge date widget there that occupies as much space as you like.

Try going into setting from the notification bar, (Looks like a gear in the upper right corner). Go to my device> lock screen> lock screen widgets> clock or personal message> clock. From there, you can change the size of the clock.
