Help Lock Screen Image - Where is it?

Hi all,

Just a quick question regarding the image that is used for the lock screen.

I found an image on facebook that I wanted to use so just used the 'set as lockscreen' option on the phone. However, I want to change my lockscreen now but don't want to lose that image. Where would it be located? It wasn't an image that I saved to my phone but I am assuming that using the 'set as lockscreen' option would have had to place it somewhere.

Cheers

im not sure exactly where it is stored, but if u mean the default one (the reddish/orangey one :D), its always in ur phone as Wallpaper Gallery. when u go to settings/display/lockscreen, u get two options to choose ur image, one is ur gallery, which is all ur downloaded/camera images, and the other option is Wallpaper gallery, which has the stock wallpapers

Thanks for the reply but it isn't the default one I am asking about. It's one that I got online and set it as my lockscreen using the 'set as lockscreen' option. I assumeed that it would have to be stored somewhere but just cannot find out where...

Any image you store in your phone can be used. typically stored in your gallery but if you rooted and have root explorer or similar then you will be also be given the option to use this app to explore for the file in addition to the gallery.

so u didnt download the image? u'd wanna download it first and store it, then u can find it anytime.. im not sure about where it'd go by default if u just save it off a webpage or something

Even if you could find it on root explorer, it would probably be some encrypted file that you'd have to somehow extract. It'd be easier to just go back to fb and find the image.

Edit: I just did a quick test and saved an image as my lock screen, then looked on root explorer and sorted by date. Nothing new came up at the time of saving, so I'm doubting you can find it.

OK guys thanks for the replies. The reason I did it the way I did was that in the latest couple of versions of Facebook I can't find any way to actually download an image. There are no menu options for saving it and holding on the image which usually brings up a set of options doesn't do anything any longer. So the set as lockscreen seemed the quickest way to do it and I just assumed it would save a copy of it on the phone. The other reason I was asking is that I can no longer find the image I have as my lockscreen :s
