Help Lock Screen Messed Up

So I installed this POS app that was supposed to avoid unlocking my phone when connected to my home wi-fi. Problem is that when I set this up, it asked me for a 'master' password, which I input and then the phone would ALWAYS ask for the password at the usual lock screen.

So I deleted this crap app and thought it would solve the problem. I reset the lock screen to use my pattern unlock and went about my business. Then my problems really started, despite not having this app on my phone and the pattern unlock selected, the phone just randomly resets itself to 'password' lock status. So now I have to input a password EVERY single time I pick my phone up. I reset it to pattern unlock and it stays that way for a while but always reverts back to this horrible password option.

PLEASE HELP - This is driving me INSANE!!!!!

Hi

So that someone may be able to help, could you let us know:

The name of the app and where it was from (playstore or elsewhere)
The make & model of your phone
The android version its running
Whether you have any VPN configured on your phone (may seem an odd question but might affect it)

Roger

I think you have to de-select an app as device administrator before you can uninstall it but check if it's there as EarlyMon suggested.
If not, use the email link at the bottom of its play store page to ask the developer how to fix it

I did as EarlyMon suggested, went into phone administrators and sure enough the box was checked for the app to do stuff to the phone. The app is called Smart Lock Screen. I will see over the next 24 hours if that has world. Thanks guys (or girls)
