Help Lock/Unlock button

Does anyone have problems with the lock/unlock button? Mine is hard to press (no click or travel) and sometimes it won't recognize that you've pressed it.
 
Mine definitely clicks. A soft one though, not an actual noise. Possible defect in your hardware? My dad finally mustered the guts to touch my phone and couldn't get the button to work for about 2 minutes, so don't know if it's a technique thing...
 
Now that you mention it, I can hear a faint click if I put my ear right up against it, otherwise I wouldn't have. It does have slight travel when I press it and it's not overly difficult to press. Seems to activate every time I press it....at least I've never noticed it not working.
 
Maybe the press not responding is software related. I'll see how the upcoming patch works out. The button definitely has less travel, noise, and feel compared to the volume buttons.

Oh, my volume buttons feel completely different to the power button. Volume is much more clicky. That's a technical term, I swear.

Mine works perfect when I press it. Doesn't click like the volume switches though. The switch does appear to depress further on the side nearer the centre of the phone.
The OP should take off the back cover of the phone and check whether the button depresses properly when viewing it from the rear. You might be able to see any debris there if there is a problem too.
 
I'm not as worried now. What everyone else described sounds like mine. I took the cover off and everything was clean. I also did a hard reset on the phone, hopefully that takes care of the intermittent screen issue.

You should be good. I had a weird screen responsivity issue once only and I simply pressed the power button to lock then unlocked and it was fixed!
Not a major worry.
 
Speaking of the lock and unlock button.
Does anyone know how to put a shortcut on your phone desktop to lock the screen instead of pushing the top lock/unlock button?
