Android Question

Hi all,

Happy Friday, hope everyone is well... :)

I have searched and searched and either the answer doesn't exist or more likely I word my question wrongly!! I am sorry if this has been asked before, I'd appreciate a link.

I want to be able to lock my HTC One X (just updated Android software) so there has to be a PIN/password for when the handset is turned on/SIM changed only. I have tried a screen lock but I can't be doing with having to enter a PIN every time I look at my phone. The closest I have found is encryption but that seems a bit hardcore for my needs.

In old school phones there was a SIM PIN and a handset PIN but I can't seem to find an equivalent for the handset PIN.

Any help much appreciated!

Thanks,
D

Hi

If it works with your phone there is an app called "no lock" which toggles the lockscreen on and off. In conjunction with a password lockscreen this could maybe do what you want by using it when you turn on and when you turn off.
