Locked Device With Applock

Epicenter02

Lurker
Hellow everyone,
Kinda new to android and i have a huge problem with an app called Applock.

Yesterday I was on a party with a few friends, and there were a lot people that I dont know, later I fell asleep and someone borrowed my phone and locked it with AppLock, it seems that the app is marked as an system administrator and has the Advanced Protection Extension so I can do almost nothing to remove that thing. But when I restart my phone, there is a little time so I can enter Settings before AppLock activates and I can change/do stuff there like for 10 seconds or so. Friends told me to reflash android by holding the power button and volume up at same time but i have important data on the phone so i cant just delete it... Im using Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-i9505 and I'll be very thankful if someone help me remove that app...

Thanks for the fast reply but I dont know what is the password, because I didnt set it, somebody else did... They are saying if i want to uninstall it i must have the password first and then "open the left menu and scroll down to last item"

Can you boot into safe mode? With the device turned on, hold the power button until the popup appears. Then long press the Power off button and you should have the option to boot into safe mode. See if you can either uninstall the app from there or backup the important information.

Entered safe mode by pressing power button and volume down but still I cant remove the app, it's a device administrator.. When I try to remove it as an administrator the password appears and locks up everything again. Sucks to be me..

OK, that's about the extent of my S4 knowledge. I'm going to move this to the S4 forum to see if other device owners know other back doors to maybe get a backup. You mentioned you are able to get into settings for about 10 seconds, so I would try to enable USB Debugging while I move this to the device forum.

Also, you could check with your "friends" to see if any of them remember the password.;)

None of my friends did this they were 2 with me and we know each other from more than 15 years, they havent done this...

Bummer. Anyway, let's see if any S4 owners know of a way through kies or ADB to backup your info. Were you able to enable USB Debugging? I know it is needed for ADB, I'm not sure for kies as I've never used it.

I found a way, Ive got a program called Recover My Files, I'll Reflash the phone and then recover everything I lost during the reflash. I think it should be good. Most of the data was images and I think that will do it. What do you think?

That looks iffy and may require AppLocks permission. Make sure you are able to access the images on a computer that isn't on the device first, and you should be all set. Also, if it is just images, can you connect it to a computer and mount it as an MTP (I think) device and just copy the images off? Are they stored on an SD card that you could remove and back up onto a computer?

No need because i actually made it! I've deinstalled the goddamn app! :D
*You will need to tap very fast for this.
For everyone who got his phone locked with AppLock even with Advanced Protection Extension:

1.Turn off the device and enter safe mode by clicking the power button and when you see the loading screen (Android, Samsung, LG etc.) long press the volume down button. You will see Safe Mode somewhere in the corner of the screen.
2.Applock will not start unless you trigger it by tapping on its icon anywhere you see it, so go to Settings and start USB Debugging.
3.Go to the Device Administrators and there you will see the AppLock and it's Extension Advanced Protection.
4.Tap on Advanced Protection and as soon as you disable it, a popup will show that asks you to confrim and it will be followed by Applock's password screen, you must be sure that you clicked "Yes" before the password appears and lock up everything.
5.Turn the device off and enter safe mode again, Now you will be able to uninstall the Advanced Protection, and after that the Applock will appear again.
6.Turn the device off and enter safe mode again, go to Device Administrators and disable Applock just like in step 4, be sure to have USB Debugging on and click yes before the password appears.
7.Turn the phone off, then turn it on by entering safe mode again and uninstall Applock.
8.When you restart your phone you wont have trouble with Applock again :)

That was the way I removed it, I was so lucky finding it, no need of consoles, ADB, MTP or some stuff like that.. Just follow the steps and you will remove it too :33 A Big Thank You To Unforgiven, best Mod evah :D

Nice. Next time you go to a party, I suggest pin-locking your phone before you take a nap.:p Even if you forget the pin there are ways to unlock the phone when you wake up the next morning so long as you remember your google password.:D

Reading it didnt sound right but yes I also had to reboot into safe mode like 4 times. (I also had kidtime that would load after like 20 to 30 seconds even in safemode)

I have an LG Stylo and sometime the phone starts doing things on it's own, so somehow got this Google Play App Lock on the phone.

I absolutely hate anything Google, except the search engine, so not only do I not know the swipe pattern, since I did not install it, but it's another curse from #$^%&&*^^%## Google that I want gone.

I know Google interlaces all their apps, so you have one, you have them all, which is why I hate them sooooooooo much and want all Google completely off my phone. Unfortunately my phone is droid, so stuck with them. Ubuntu has a phone version, but not a true phone OS.

Please someone help me get rid of this nightmare. I can not get into my payment center app and have a $3,000+ payment to post.

Cheers!
