Do you have a data/WiFi connection and is Android device manager enabled? If so you may be able to set a new pin from the Android device manager website (log in with the Google account you use on the phone) by selecting the option to lock the phone. Then use that new pin to unlock it.

Whatever you do, do not send a lock from google device manager, it will never unlock your phone. Its been going on for years, it appears google has never fixed the lock issue. When i lost my phone few weeks ago, i sent a google lock through device manager, but when i got it back i tried to enter the password it was wrong, or it says error. When i sent a new password lock and entered it, it was error or wrong, and i did 60 times and it never unlocked for me. I eventually had to wipe my enter phone in order to get access to the phone. I look at other forums, it appears to be a common problem, Only people with samsung phones had a way around this, everyone else had the same problem.
