Help Locked Screen Display

Every now and then when I lock my screen, after a few minutes, this (see attached pic) will flash on my screen for a few seconds and then disappear. After doing this about 2 or 3 times, it goes away completely for a long time. I have not noticed this before the update. Any ideas as to what it is and how to enable/disable it?

This is the Air View feature. It displays useful info while the phone is locked, just by waving your hand over it.

It can be disabled either by a notification toggle, or by going to settings/control

Andy....you are ABSOLUTELY THE MAN!!! Thanks for the quick and accurate response. The Note 3 has been out for a while but because of awesome folks such as yourself, some of us are still able to learn about this great device. Several others in addition to myself could never figure this out so thank you very much for the help!

SETTINGS
MOTIONS AND GESTURES (system)
AIR GESTURE
QUICK GLANCE
