Help Locking phone

How do you lock the phone on the y201.Manual says hold the top button down but all i get is the shutdown menu showing.

Hi

A short press on the top button should turn the screen off. If you have a screen lock configured in the phones settings, the phone is then "locked". I think thats what it means.
