I originally postied this n the wrong forum and got bad / no useful responses

lockpicker for touchdown

has anybody written a lock picker app for Touchdown.

i can see the databasein ti backup when I use explore.
I used a sqllite browser and I can see the table values
I want to override the security policy that my exchange server provisions


override exchange security policyor extend the lock time
the database is /data/data/com.nitrodesk.droid20.nitroid/databases/windroid.db
the table is nd_securityConfigDdata

i think this table needs to be monitored and altered if exchange pushes down a new value.
there is another table nd_securityoverride that is empty

I tried to do some simple sqlite from the shell but I cantfind sqlite on my ally to start the shell. to even test my theory. I am not a developer.

i found a binary for sqlite3 in tridents velocity .4 ( i am still using vc)

and tried the following code worked

sqlite3 /data/data/com.nitrodesk.drois20.nitroid/databases/windroid.db
update nd_securityconfigdata
set devicepasswordenabled =0 ;
commit;
.exit

now how do I put that in a script that can be run easily, then I guess I want to schedule it.
it should look something like this

su
sqlite3 /data/data/com.nitrodesk.drois20.nitroid/databases/windroid.db
update nd_securityconfigdata
set devicepasswordenabled =0
where devicepasswordenabled =1;
commit;
.exit
exit

New idea placed a trigger on the table in the db
on update of one value change the other value.
it works when I do it change the watched value manually. now I just need to see how the policy is enforced by exchanged touchdown. if its just updating it will work.
