Root lockscreen issue

hey everybody im back on the forums again because recently my sister has beem having a problem with her phone. We have the same "Galaxy Prevail" phone but some how when she clicks her lockscreen power button it does not go to her lockscreen nor will even go to the power off menu. Her phone is rooted with joymod 1.0 just giving further details does anyone know the solution or will i just have to change the rom:confused:
 
I don't understand exactly what you're asking. 'Lock screen power button'?

Do you mean the power button (the physical button on the phone) isn't working properly? If so, does it work to power the phone on?

If not could you please clarify.

Does it still function to power the phone off and on? You may simply be experiencing hardware failure.
 
I'm willing to bet its hardware failure then. Not much you can do about it... you can set the screen to always stay on, or use a charger to wake it...
