Lockscreen text message notification and viewer

[mastermixer]

Does anyone know of a good app that displays unread text messages on the lockscreen? Right now you get a message received notification, but you have to unlock the phone and go into the message app to view them. Thanks.

I think Handcent SMS (free via play.google.com) does what you're after.

I and think that you can have this on a contact-by-contact setting, so your bosses messages appear; but graphic sex messages about what your girlfriend wants to do to you when you get home don't, just the notification.

Handy if your phone is on the desk charger during meetings etc.

You need either Handcent or Go SMS Pro with popups enabled and with the "show over lockscreen" option enabled. Or the separate SMS Popup app.
