Lockscreen Wallpaper Shifted down

LLamanaro

Lurker
Hello, all! I am on a Samsung Galaxy S2 T989 (the T mobile S2) running 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwhich. I recently bought a decal skin for my phone, and it came with a wallpaper that aligns with the skin. This works fine when the phone is unlocked, but on the lockscreen, the background (same image) is pushed downwards about half a centimeter, and so it makes the skin look just wrong when on the lockscreen. This is the same for any lockscreen, pattern, swipe, etc...

I'm running on the default launcher. PLEASE help, as this is really annoying.

WelcomeLLamanaro!
From what you describe, I would say to contact the manufacture of the skin/wallpaper and see if they have a fix for the wallpaper on the lockscreen. Perhaps they can send you a fix for the wallpaper?

So there is a decal that you apply to the outside of the phone, and when the wallpaper is displayed on the screen, it blends in with the decal?
Do I understand correctly?

You see, it's the same image, the one on the lock screen and on the homepage. Heck, even before this specific image it happened, but it hasn't mattered until this decal. (For anyone wondering, my decal is the Union Jack, AKA the British flag, so the lining up is really obvious).

I took two screenshots of my phone, one on lock, and one on home. Although you obviously can't see the decal since it's a screenshot, on the home picture, it's lined up correctly. Hopefully this pictures will give you a better idea! And to clarify, the lockscreen and homescreen wallpapers are the same exact image. This slight shift has happened before, but it didn't matter until this decal. First picture is home (the correct alignment), the second is lock (the wrong alignment), and the third is home superimposed onto lock so you can see how they are misaligned.

Hopefully these pictures relay my problem's details more.
Thanks! :)

I see what you mean about one image not in the same position as the other.
And I can see how that would affect the alignment with your decal.

I really don't have an answer for you as to why the wallpaper on the lockscreen is in a slightly different position than the home screen.

Perhaps it is a device thing? Wonder if you can test that theory with a different wallpaper temporarily for home/lockscreen and see if that wallpaper shifts too.
You know what I mean?

I have already tested this, and it seems to be universal. I noticed it at first, but it didn't matter until now. I guess I'll just have to let this thread simmer for a while and see if anyone has a solution. Thanks for taking the time to help, though! It's very appreciated!

I apologize for the double post. Anyways, I have no found a solution, but I have found a workaround. I took the wallpaper, and offset it upwards as much as it was offset down, canceling out the effect and having the lock sreen line up.
