Logcat issue

I am having trouble using filters in logcat. I have created static variable and I have called the Log.d(Tag "") in my code but nothing appears in logcat. Here is my code -

[HIGH]

import android.os.Bundle;
import android.app.Activity;
import android.util.Log;
import android.view.Menu;
import android.view.View;
import android.widget.TextView;

public class MainActivity extends Activity {

private static final String Tag = "this is a test";

@Override
protected void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) {
super.onCreate(savedInstanceState);
setContentView(R.layout.activity_main);
}

@Override
public boolean onCreateOptionsMenu(Menu menu) {
// Inflate the menu; this adds items to the action bar if it is present.
getMenuInflater().inflate(R.menu.main, menu);
return true;
}

public void showRoom(View view){
Log.d(Tag, "this is a test");
TextView tv = (TextView) findViewById(R.id.textView1);
tv.setVisibility(View.VISIBLE);
}

}[/HIGH]

In my filter setting under by Log Tag I put - this is a test
The showRoom method gets called when a button is clicked. The text becomes visible so I know that the function is being called but nothing appears in the logcat.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
