Logging in to Youtube App

[DroidShroom]

Hello everyone, I'm DroidShroom. Im new to the android forums.

I wanted to log in to the youtube app on my android phone. However I found that I needed to have the email account(the one I would have logged in with)linked to the phone, like when you have to link an account to be able to access and download from the Google Play store. The problem is that I'm not sure if I will be able to unlink the email account from my phone afterwards.

Has anyone who has logged into the youtube app been able to log out AND unlink their account from the phone?
I haven't been able to find any information about this, so any help is greatly appreciated!

Welcome to the forums DroidShroom. May I ask why you would want to do that? you can always just sign out.

Thanks for the welcome. So, when you sign in, in the first place, does the account stay within the app or integrate into the phone? Last time I tried, it had to be integrated/linked to the phone.
