Root [Loki][mod][custom splash]UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER!! Modifed Recovery and Kernel (proof of concept)

As you may be aware, developer dan rosenberg (djrbliss) has come up with a vulnerability to bypass the locked bootloader on the Galaxy S4. His tool (known as LOKI) uses the phones aboot (bootloader) to modify boot and recovery images so the locked bootloader no longer blocks them. (If I understand correctly. I do not own an s4 yet and am new to this process myself). Due to a post recently made by invisiblek on rootzwiki, I contacted him and he talked to djrbliss about adding support to the stellar.

I noticed not long after that support appeared to be added for the Galaxy stellar. So I downloaded the source and gave it a shot. Which brings me to this:
My zip below is for anyone currently on jellybean with custom recovery. Flashing the attachment below will flash the new bootloader ( that blocks custom recovery). It will also flash a loki'd TWRP recovery and loki'd kernel that have no problem getting by the locked bootloader!

Again, this is just to demonstrate that we now have the ability to flash custom kernels to the device. So custom roms like cyanogenmod are in the near future. The kernel youre flashing here is stock it just has one small change to your SAMSUNG splash screen just to prove that this is in fact legit.

I have flashed this and it works flawless. Be sure to thank invisiblek and djrbliss as they both played huge parts in making this happen.

EDIT:Just so you know what your getting here, your new splash screen will look like this

this is great news billard. Thanks for sharing it. I have a dummy stellar in hand, which have some network problem. If you want to test any ROM's feel free to PM me, i will do the initial testing for you.

Glad to hear it. Will do. Invisiblek is still working in the background as well apparently. This phones development has just got started. Good things are coming.

Invisiblek is on top of it. He's also the one making cm10 for the Verizon s4 (which I just installed on my friends s4) and it works flawless. So just give him a few days. I'm sure we'll have something
 
I talked to invisiblek and he said he is not actively working on porting cm right now saying that it would take a ton to get it to where the s3 is. Not trying to throw him under the bus by any means cause he's done a lot for this phone, but does anyone else know of a different dev who might be able to.work on it?

If I would've known otherwise I would've spoke up sooner. I'll be more than happy to take a crack at it. I just don't think my pc is capable of doing it (it's a piece of shit). I'll keep yins posted tho
 
Tgetes got to be someone that git any of this to work on the legend! We have good devs that said they would worl on it if we can get them a stock image of the legend. So come on guys let's make this happen.. :)
