Lollipop Calendar Issue

I like lollipop on my Nexus 4, except for making appointments. When I make an appointment, it often takes several minutes to show up on my phone, even when I have a good wireless/phone signal. Therefore I don't know if I actually entered it correctly. This is most annoying.

Do you mean when you create the appointment from a desktop and are waiting for the calendar to sync to the phone? Or when you create the appointment on the phone it's not showing up on you calendar right away?
