My daughter got a Kyocera Hydro View for free for signing up with our current carrier (Cricket), and its been a pretty decent phone for a kid. Its stuck on 5.1 Lollipop and only has 8GB storage, but that's OK because we've got an SD card and if I recall correctly, lollipop was supposed to allow moving apps to external natively.
Well, it DOES work, but only sometimes. I know some apps aren't supposed to be movable (the button gets greyed out), but others are and show the button. However, it appears that some apps, despite showing me the button, try to move and then fail. It seems to get stuck on "moving" after the button is pressed, then after a given amount of time it gives up and says "Couldn't Move App." with an OK button.
There's plenty of space on the SD card- I even backed up the card and reformatted on my PC to see if maybe it was corrupted or something. It would be one thing if these apps didn't let me move to the SD card, but they appear to allow it, then get stuck attempting it before reporting failure. Is this normal behavior? Is there something wrong?
