Help Lollipop new style notifications not showing

Hello.
I have Googled for a whole day about this but I only found people ttying to archive my problem, not to fix it.. ok here it is...

My galaxy s5 with Lollipop 5.0 just stopped showing the new style of heads up notifications and it's only showing the old style on the status bar. I really want the big baner to appear but I dont know what I did to lose them. I actually don't remember doing anything . When I Google everyone seems to be trying to get ride of this popups/banners.

I've already tried to enable priority for some apps, enabled and disabled do not disturb, closed every app and restarted the phone. Do you have any idea of how to bring them back?

Why would my notifications just disappear. Is there a known reason for this?

Could be conflicting system files due to incomplete deleting after the update. This is a reason why a reset is always advisable to be done after an update.

You could try a factory reset,That should bring the notifications back.

I have an app that requires a code that I get from my bank... reinstalling that app it's a pita because it takes you about an hour on the phone to get a new code.

Any walk around to backup this app????
