Help Lollipop on Virgin UK?

Hiya,

I have an unlocked Note 3 on Virgin Uk, and I was wondering if anyone had received Lollipop yet? I'm getting frustrated by the lack of updates...

It is not available yet for BTU (non carrier branded SM-N9005) UK Note 3's.

Only Vodafone and 3G have launched it yet. In the UK. Seeing as Virgin don't have their own firmware I would imagine it is the BTU version that is all unreleased as yet. If I had bought my Note 3 contract free I would be frustrated with Samsung too, how come carriers have launched it and Samsung haven't?

There is a way around it - flash the unbranded official Polish release of V5.0.0 using Odin.

The only drawbacks to this is it will wipe your device (except your media) and alter your baseband so you'll never get an OTA update again. Other than that it will do nothing dodgy. Knox will work fine, if you need it.

No, pretty much straightforward. If you follow this link to the Swiss Lollipop (the latest one) the instructions are there. Just make sure you turn Reactivation lock (uncheck it) in settings>General >security before flashing or it won't work.
