Help Lollipop - switch user from lock screen

Lurker
Hi,
I've recently updated to Lollipop on my Samsung Galaxy Tab S. I share this devise with the rest of my family, but can only switch accounts after unlocking the screen. Before the update you could select the user from the lock screen. Is there a way to change this?
Thanks!

I am having the exact same problem. I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.5. After the recent update, the person who last locked the screen must first unlock the device before we can switch users. This is a bug that needs to be fixed.

Has anyone figure out how to over come this? I too am having this issue, and this is the only forum I have seen this issue Described.

Tedious to unlock to share the device with family members.

On my tablet, when turning it on and presented with a locked screen (or login screen), at the very top there is an invisible menu that you have to pull (swipe) down. So starting at the top of the screen, swipe your finger down towards the center of the screen. A menu comes up. On my tablet, there is a 'face' icon - an icon of a head. Press this icon, and it will let you select which user to log in. I can post a picture if this is unclear.

It would be nice if there would be at least an -option- to have that screen, the one where you can select the user, be presented as default, i.e. if the option would be enabled, a blanc screen would be presented with the users to select from. Instead of it being so 'hidden'.

Right now, in my case in 'pin-code' screen shows up. However, it also shows additional details, like my email address, xx unread emails, bla bla as a pop-up on the same pin-code screen.

I have managed to get a blanc screen background with -initially- only the 'Enter PIN' stuff.
However, when I wait a few seconds, e.g. I tab on the screen so it does disappear/shut off by power savings
then info shows up, such as xx messages, bla bla.

Have two questions:
a) how to avoid this from showing up? (these 'new messages' and 'sign-in request' pop-up panels)
and
b) -a minor thing- How to increase the time before the start/home screen disappears? (right now I think it is a few seconds, but let's say I want it to increase to 15 seconds or 30 seconds)

thanks!

Pull notification on lockscreen, click on small icon of users, this will list all users on your tab.
Thing is that I found out that once logged in as another user, gmail shows 2 buttons in the left bar that will show mail details of the other user. So, actually when logged in and reading mail as user2, when clicking on those buttons, I can see the mail of user1(owner).

Wonder how to avoid that. Seems a bit weird to me and not correct.

After last update the 'face' icon does not open anymore the user selection window as long I am in the lock screen. If I unlock, then the icon shows the user selection window. So unlocking is only possible for the main user now! Anybody does have this problem?

Probably it is too complicated, or too complcated for Samsung, or they are just not interested in user's feedback.
I did suggest to them that it would be nice to have clean lock screen, where a pin should be entered.
Only that and no alternatives.
Just the pin.
Depending on the pin entered, the tablet should either open the guest or the admin/owner.
After loggin out, the lock screen should be presented again.
No swipping of invisble bars at the top, no settings change to hide notifications, no reboot/closing.

Well, maybe one day, when Android v10 is released...

In the meantime Android Marshmallow (6.0) has rolled out to my tablet and all works fine now againg, except that fingerprint login does not work directly after cold start.
