Apologies if this has already been dealt with - I did use the search function but came up with nothing - so I thought I'd try you good people!
I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 on O2 (UK) which has been fabulous. However, my phone recently did a major auto-upgrade (I'm assuming it was the upgrade to Android 4.1.2 as that is showing in the About file) and I've had problems with typing capitals since. I'm using the stock keyboard.
Before the upgrade, to insert a capital letter mid sentence into a text or email (perhaps for a name or location) you simply held down the required letter and the capital appeared - a simple one key approach to capitals. Since the upgrade I now have to press the shift key, press the capital letter and then press shift again to return to the lowercase menu - so three keys just for one letter. If I use the long press now I either get a variety of foreign characters (on letters like n, a and c) or the lowercase letter. As I use my phone for business when out and about I can not avoid the use of capitals as it would appear very unprofessional.
Has anyone else encountered this? (And if so is there a fix?)
Do you think it's a bug which needs reporting (if so to whom do I report it?)
Thanks in advance for your help (and sorry if I've posted in the wrong place!)
Kind regards
L
