Long-Press Not Working On Galaxy Tab A

I recently purchased a Galaxy Tab A, SM-T510.
I find that long pressing doesn't work half the time. This occurs on the desktop icons and on the web when trying to open a picture thumbnail. This occurs on at least 3 browsers so I can eliminate my current browser.

Is there anything I can do to remedy this??

nothing you can do setting wise.....could be a defective tablet. try factory resetting it first. if that does not work then i would return it.

I'm not sure at all if this will work, but have you tried installing a different launcher from the play store?
Nova launcher is a good one to try.
Install it and see if long pressing will work.... Not sure if it'll do anything for your browsers.

Actually Nova Launcher is my current launcher. Very happy with it.

Just seems to be a bit annoying when the long press doesn't work sometimes after a few tries.

I would assume it be a screen sensitivity issue
