Root Long time customer switching from Sprint to Verizon and the HTC One M8

I could have upgraded to Sprint's One M8, but with Verizon's Father's Day Sale, but more importantly, their better network, I decided to jump ship.

I had rooted my HTC EVO LTE with Viper ROM and wish to root my One M8. I guess I'm just wondering if there are going to be any major differences considering that the phone is essentially the same. In addition, can anyone point me in the right direction to the best/easiest way to get S-OFF for the One M8?
