LongPress Functionality via Mouse?

When I LongPress on various objects, option dialogs appear.

But now I'm running an Android MOBO without a touch screen and I'm looking for the same functionality via a mouse.

From the threads I have read so far, it sounds like it's not there.

OTOH those threads are all a few years old and this is such an obvious lack of function that maybe somebody has written an app or something to fix it.

??

Right click :-)

Not here. Android 4.2.2 running on a "CubieTruck" mobo.

LeftClick acts as "Back" and there is no LongLeftClick... it gets processed instantly as LeftClick.

I'm finding workarounds though.

First one is to install Nova Desktop - which responds to LongLeftClick the same as LongTouch.

Second is using ES File Explorer as file manger. LongLeftClick is also recognized and give access (albeit somewhat clumsy compared to FX File Explorer) to various functions.

That makes no sense; left-click should be... well, left-click. If left-click is screwed I'm not surprised the other mouse actions are too.

When I use a mouse with any of my Android devices it works just as I'd expect it to, even the scroll wheel works. No surprises at all - bit I don't expect any "long mouse press" to work since that's not how mouse buttons work.

Shot in the dark - have you tried pressing your mouse wheel for a long press? Not rotating the mouse wheel, but actually pressing it down so it clicks.

Thanks!... I had no clue that the wheel clicked.

But I managed to semi-brick the device in question (trying to boot Linux), so it may be a couple days until I figure out how to re-flash it with Android and try the MouseWheelClick.
