Lurker
Is there anyway to find my nexus 7 even if its not connected to wifi? I didn't install no apps to help me find it. Im pretty sure its in house. I tried android device manager it couldn't find it so its not on wifi. I hit ring, didn't ring. Maybe it has to be on wifi to ring?

android lost is a good app for that. you can install it remotely from the market website and activate it remotely by sending a text message command. androidlost.com will have instructions to work it out.

You probably could if you install BlueStacks (Android Emulator) on the computer (Fine on Win7, I've not tried it with 8 but it should be OK.

You should be able to check whether it's on WiFi by looking at your router's control panel and seeing what devices are connected.

If it's not on WiFi, I don't see how you could use anything that requires a network connection to locate it.

I think some of the other answers would work as well, but this is the easiest option... Hopefully its still on and has battery left though!

Oh, you are most likely not to connected to WiFi. This voids this post unless you are connected.

maybe i'm too old school, but how about actually lifting up some cushions, looking under the bed, cleaning your room.
