Hi all

im looking at buying an unlocked android phone to replace my blackberry, and keep getting told to go for the samsung galalxy s2, however i keep being drawn towards the sensation, so i have a few questions...

is the sensation a good introduction into android phones for a 1st time user?

is it possible to sync it to itunes with any 3rd party software?

a can get the sensation for about

Have a look at some of the posts on this forum. Most people seem to prefer the Sensation over the Galaxy here. Better made with a much better GUI (HTC Sense) are the two main reasons.

This is my second Android phone. I found the first easy to pick up and so was this. That is mainly because HTC Sense is so easy and intuitive to use (it was also on my previous HTC Hero). You can learn bit by bit with it and you will find that you will get into its more complex bits given some time.

You don't need a 3rd party app to sync with itunes. HTC Sync (which is on the phone) will do that for you, as well as syncing calendar and contacts from outlook and many other things.

Only real difference between the normal Sensation and the XE is the Beats audio, so if you don't have Beats headphones or use it then there's no point getting the XE to be honest.

Also, if you're looking to root and flash a custom ROM you can get the XE part on your normal Sensation.

This is my third Android phone and they've all been easy to pick up and use. If you ask me HTC Sense is the best looking UI and the most intuitive to use. I can't believe anyone would not be able to pick it up and use it, it's basically dummy proof.

thanks very much for the advice, should be receiving my sensation tomorrow :) ended up going for the xe in the end but only because i managed to get a good price and only cost very slightly more than the standard version

finally made it over to android
