Looking for a decent email client

Recently switched from iOS to SIII and while I'm happy with most of the stock apps on my phone the one thing that's bugging me is the email client. I've tried a few from the Play Store but none so far have been as good as the stock iOS client. I don't really need any fancy features, all I need is that different accounts are displayed separately on one page, support for Push and a decent interface. I'm currently semi-satisfied with the MailDroid and AquaMail. Both are somewhat lacking in the design department and MailDroid has ads which is annoying. I don't mind paying a couple of bucks if the app is good but $18 is way too much just to remove the ads (since I don't need any extra features). The Gmail app is pretty good but it has the obvious drawback of only supporting Gmail.

Some other clients I looked at include K-9, ProfiMail, Multimedia, 3GHA, K-@, Enhanced Email.

Seemingly InoMail is an exact copy of the iOS client (it's a wonder Apple doesn't sue) but iOS design looks a bit weird on android. I'd still like to shop around before I commit to any paid app. My ideal solution would be something like MailDroid Pro with a slightly less minimalistic design and much cheaper (up to $5). Does anyone know any other good client? As it is I I'll go with InoMail.

I've tried K9 and my problem with it is mainly the same as with AquaMail and MailDroid, that the design is too minimalistic. I find these apps difficult to read, the light themes are too light and the dark themes are too dark, which is also why I'm dissatisfied with the stock app which is way too dark. InoMail has a decent design but I found it is much slower than the other apps.

K9 and Maildroid are the best ones out there.
What do you mean by the apps being too minimalism? Maildroid has a ton of customization.

I mean that the design is very minimalistic. Or at least I haven't been able to find a way to customize it other than swithching between the 'light' and the 'dark' themes (and color alternating rows). That's too epic for my taste, I'm more of a 'shades of gray' kind of guy, as long as there aren't 50 of them. I just find the look of these apps wrong which for me makes them frustrating to use. To be clear I do like minimalistic design, for example the design of the official Gmail app is not that different from MailDroid but already I find it much easier to read. It's just that MailDroid and K9 just have too simple a look.

I'm not dissing the app, in terms of functionality it is extremely good. I've run several mail clients (native, MailDroid, InoMail and K9) in parallel for a few days now and MailDroid easily outperforms the rest, both in terms of how fast it responds to pushed emails and in terms of how fast it loads messages. It also performs best with my yahoo account which the other clients seem to have problems with. In fact InoMail, which is the only client whose design I like, performed quite badly, emails seem to be pushed with a delay compared to the other apps and sometimes it didn't even get the emails at all. It is also quite slow in loading. If it wasn't for this I would have gone with InoMail. As it is, I'm not sure what to go with.

I tried most of them and found K9 to be the best balance of features and battery consumption, and used it for quite some time. Now, I just forward all my email accounts to my GMail and use the official client, as this is simpler for my needs.

I really like the official Gmail app but the problem I have is that I do want to keep my accounts separate. I have three and they are for completely different purposes. One is my university mail account, the other is a serious account for things apart from school/work and the third is mostly for spam. Not "Nigerian-prince-wants-to-enlarge-your-penis" kind of spam of course, but general news letters and stuff that I'm subscibed to but don't want to be bothered by most of the time.
