Looking for a new phone

I am in the market for a new phone (Sprint) before January 30th. I am stuck between LG Optimus S and Samsung Transform.

I really like Transform for:
-the faster processor
-Dual Camera
-Larger Screen
-Slideout keyboard

But the LG has:
-Andriod 2.2!!
-more memory

I am fine with getting the Transform if I can be guaranteed that it will receive 2.2 at some point but I am fearful that it might not be the case.

If you were in the market for a new phone, would you get the Transform or Optimus?

and is it guaranteed that the Transform will receive 2.2 at some point? Does anyone know when?

Whoo Hoo! Finally a question I can answer, sort of. If the dual camera is important to you, the Transform is not your phone. It doesn't work. It is among the list of things Froyo is supposed to fix, but no guarantee that it will. As far as Froyo goes, there is a ported version from the Intercept that the mad geniuses at SDX are coding for the Transform. It is so far over my head that I won't bother trying to explain, but they use words like kernel, rooted, and flashing, so I don't understand it.

I have had my Transform for a few months now. It is my first smartphone and it is more than adequate for me. I had a Rant before this phone. I am able to get and send e-mails, use GPS, sync a widget caledar with my wife's phone and our home PC schedule (the real reason we got these whiz bang gizmos), and play Angry Birds Seasons. I do the household budget with Mint, I bought a larger micro SD card and have my mp3 library on it. I make custom ringtones and assign them. I use Endomondo to track my exercise (awesome program).

I never use the slideout keyboard, I dictate texts and e-mails.

Omg my brother! That was me aswell! xD

The Transform has a faster processor, front facing camera, and a keyboard. Thats what made me get it, and SDX has a Froyo build from the Samsung Captivate put on the Transform with all the speed and functions included with Froyo, so don't worry about Froyo haha we already have access to our own build of it! I reccomend the Transform bro
