Well I don't know what to tell you, other than Nova launcher prime is the best launcher out there, if you're looking for full customization. Try it again, but settle down and get to know each option, it really is the one and only launcher that I've used for all of my Android devices...

Worst, it keeps giving you suggestions for the bottom row of the icon list, I want it clean off first of all though.

Really sucks after the long term though, even when updated version, why does my icons always have like the giant massive teardrop around them, I cannot find anything of the nature how to change them without it?

Yes I just hit the "Do not change shape to make it crap" thing in the bottom,
still a bit upset on this hard to understand launcher.
